the easter bunny

The Easter bunny made a visit to my parents' deck this evening. I didn't see any Easter baskets, but he sure was cute. The bunny and my parent's dog were having a stare-down through the doorwall.

dried lotus pod

I came across an interesting technique called High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography and just had to try it out. Check out these awesome images, here, here and here. I personally think it works better on landscape type pictures, but I tried it out with something else...a dried lotus pod I had in my house.

I cropped the original picture down a tad, bumped up the yellow and green a little and then used the curves application available in PSE and applied the increase constrast option.

new macro lens!

So I just got the Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens and I love it! I can't wait to take it up north this summer and see what awesome pics I can get. I'll definitely need to get a tripod since it's really hard to keep the camera still and take the picture. Here's just a few I got today...nothing exciting really.
