dried lotus pod

I came across an interesting technique called High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography and just had to try it out. Check out these awesome images, here, here and here. I personally think it works better on landscape type pictures, but I tried it out with something else...a dried lotus pod I had in my house.

f/5.6
0.3 sec
100mm
ISO 800

First I applied the HDR technique using the Photomatix software
Then I played around with a brightness/contrast layer in PSE
